1. Overview

This page explains how to delete your Cleanly account and the personal data associated with it, or to request deletion of specific data without closing your account. It applies to accounts created in the Cleanly Sports mobile application, whether you signed up with email and password or through Google or Apple Sign-In.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your Cleanly account, send an email to:

info@cleanlysport.com

  • Send the request from the email address registered to your Cleanly account.
  • Use the subject line “Account deletion request”.
  • If you signed up with Google or Apple Sign-In, tell us which provider you used so we can locate your account.

We may contact you to verify that you own the account before processing the request. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification.

3. What Is Deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, we permanently delete:

  • Your account and login credentials.
  • Your profile information (name, email address, phone number, profile photo).
  • Your scan history, including uploaded images and substance check results.
  • The link between your account and any third-party sign-in provider (Google or Apple).

4. What May Be Retained

We may retain limited data after account deletion where we are legally required or permitted to do so, for example:

  • Records required for legal, tax, or accounting obligations (e.g. subscription payment records), for the period required by law.
  • Aggregated or anonymised data that can no longer be linked to you.

Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play are managed by Apple or Google — deleting your Cleanly account does not cancel an active subscription. Please cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

5. Deleting Data Without Closing Your Account

If you want specific data removed without deleting your whole account — for example your scan history or profile photo — email us at info@cleanlysport.com with the subject line “Data deletion request” and describe the data you want removed. The same verification and 30-day processing period apply.
